Alright, you said that your graphic card drivers are actually installing but dissapear on reboot, right ? Well, there's something I would like you to try. I have no idea if it's going to work but it's worth a try. Install your graphic card drivers (the one that works, probably the one from your graphic card CD) and do not reboot right after. Instead, go in the bottom-left corner of your screen and wait for the metro menu preview to appear and right click on it. From there, select in the menu "Command Prompt (Admin)". Once the command prompt is open, enter the following command :

 

winsat prepop

 

Wait until the scan is finished and then reboot your computer. This command will run the assessement for your Windows Experience Index. Hopefully, this will force Windows to detect the current installed graphic card in order to test it in it's index to give the DirectX 3D features a score and when you reboot after, the drivers will still be there.

Doesn't that mean that my graphic card drivers are not installing but disappear on reboot, as you say?

Hi again,

 

I am planning to do a clean reinstallation of windows. On my D: drive, I have stuff like programs, pictures, videos, games, steam, documents etc.. On my C: drive, I have only installed windows and drivers and stuffff... However, some files that I either forgot to locate to the D drive when i installed it, or wasn't an option at all, is located in the C: drive program files or program files (x86). Also, the documents (C:, users, my name, my documents) is stuffed with folders which I don't even know is important or not... Folder names like games I have or whatever. Alright, judging by your setup, you're keeping all your person files on your D: drive, which is good. Its a good habit to separate your Windows installation from your personal files, because when comes the time to reinstall it, you don't have to worry about backing up your files as they are already on a separate drive. The folders you are showing us right now is the Program Files (x86) folder. This is the folder under Windows 64-bits version where 32-bits programs are installed. If you decide to reinstall Windows, you do not have to worry about this folder as it only contains your installed programs. You will have to reinstall your programs once you finish installing your new Windows. Every folders on your C: drives are Windows related and therefore will be safely deleted during the reinstallation as they will be recreated but at an empty state. What you should back up before reinstalling Windows is the content of your Documents, Music, Videos and Pictures libraries. As well as any documents you have on your desktop or in your user folder. Take all the files you want to keep then put them on your D: drive. Once done, you'll be ready to reinstall Windows 8. Do you know how to reinstall Windows 8 or would you like help with the process ?

No, I dunno how to... I got help installing it when I did it the first time. I don't have a CD either if I need that, because I downloaded windows from the pirate bay...

 

What about the program files? Many programs like winrar, gyazo, skype, some adobe programs is for some reason there... Can I just move them to the D drive, or do I have to take a backup of it and then place it in program files after i reinstalled windows..?

And after the reinstallation, I can move the program files that I need into the new program files... c: Same with the users folder, or just the documents pictures, videos, music? (In my users folder is the app data folder)
