ok here we go
with some help form a pal who doesn't know as much as he thinks
this is where i am desk top has been taken over by something that wants me to download anti-virus gold

steps taken so far
ran :
clean up
ad-adware
spybot s&d
cwshedder
spy subtract
alert spy
and even microsoft antispyware
all before rebooting into safe mode then all once there
also ran house call abnd index.dat Suite
have not done a window udate yet cause this problem prverts me form going to windows update i get a large number of ie windows opening if i try last try 61 windows before i killed the process

problem is still there and now when windows starts i get a error box titled
runner error
runner file name(updates fromhp.exe) lacks a"-"(the appication seperator)
then messanger shows up even with it disabled at start up
(oh did i mention my pal diabled system restore)

Delete pal, re-enable System Restore immediately :tazz:. An infected restore point is better than none, wouldn't you say?

I apologize for the delay getting to your log, the helpers here are very busy. If you are still having malware troubles, I will be glad to help. Due to the length of time passed, I need to see a new HijackThis Log.
