Hi, I installed a app/plug-in for browsers. There is no info of where is instaled.

When I install it, I can not choose any path. There is no info of where is it going. A folder is created in appData\local\temp. Seems a copy of the .exe instaler but now the extension is .msi

I can open the .msi using winrar but and there ara 12 files. After install the app "windows search" does not find any of those files (i can see hidden files)

"Control panel\ programs and features" shows the app installed but there is no info of where is it.

It is not in "program files" folders. Any idea of how can I find the installation folder of this ghost app?

Welcome to GTG.

Can you remember what the item was that you installed? Are you trying to remove it?

Download Autoruns and Autorunsc Unzip it to your desktop and then double click autoruns.exe After the scan is finished then click on File>>>>>>>>>>>Save The default name will be autoruns.arn make sure to save it as Autoruns.txt under the file type option. in other words make sure it is a .txt file instead of .arn Attach the text in your next reply.

Yes I know the app. Its a Nagravision software, my internet provider uses it for offer digital TV.

I installed it and I have no idea of where is instaled, I like to know where I install my apps. This one is hide as [bleep] and I really want to know where is it to be sure that if I unistall it, its 100% uninstalled. Because reading the user agreement the app may collect data. No idea what kind of data.

this is the webpage: http://edonon.euskal...com/edonon.html  It autodownload the plugin.

Okay so after downloading the installer in a VM, I launched it in Sandboxie and here's the locations where files have been dropped :

C:\windows\installer\831d9.msi
C:\Users\your_user\AppData\Roaming\Euskaltel, S.A (with Edonon folder)
C:\Users\your_user\AppData\Local\Euskaltel, S.A (with Edonon folder)

These are the main locations where the files for this plug-in are located.

Thank you very much! Thank you all for your time, much appreciated.
