Thanks for the url

One major concern and one minor, neither may be the cause of the issue but then again both could.

The main concern is the lack of free storage space on the HDD and predominantly partition C: which has Windows 7 on it, you must always have between 20 and 25% of a HDDs overall storage capacity available at all times to allow Windows to be able to transfer data backwards and forwards efficiently, if you do not have this you risk data corruption and in a worse case scenario mechanical failure of the HDD.

Partition 0
Partition ID: Disk # 0, Partition # 0
Size: 199 MB
Partition 1
Partition ID: Disk # 0, Partition # 1
Disk Letter: C:
File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: 0E6F06BD
Size: 283 GB
Used Space: 252 GB (90%)
Free Space: 30.8 GB (10%)
Partition 2
Partition ID: Disk # 0, Partition # 2
Size: 2.00 GB
Partition 3
Partition ID: Disk # 0, Partition # 3
Disk Letter: D:
File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: 44165650
Size: 12.8 GB
Used Space: 10.8 GB (84%)
Free Space: 2.08 GB (16%)

You need to free up some space on partition C: asap or you may find that you have an unbootable computer, burn to disk, back up to thumb drives whatever you can but make sure you have between 50 and 60GB free on partition C:, this may resolve the issue or it may not but dealing with it as a priority is more important than the game controller.

The other thing I suggest is uninstalling any unused mouse and keyboard drivers, this in case they are incorrectly being assigned to the controller, be sure to create a new restore point before uninstalling any drivers in case the wrong one is uninstalled.

I've freed space on the HDD, now it says:

Partition ID Disk #0, Partition #1
Disk Letter C:
File System NTFS
Volume Serial Number 0E6F06BD
Size 283 GB
Used Space 206 GB (74%)
Free Space 76 GB (26%)

I have also tried uninstalling as many drivers as I could, and rebooting the computer. I didn't work, it's still not being identified by the laptop. Perhaps the only improvement has been that when I connect it, it says ''installing device'', then also says ''drivers installed'', but the gamepad is still not there. This might be due to other drivers being automatically re-installed after I've uninstalled them though.
As you can see, there's not many devices left:

The notebook does not seem to like the controller  :(

Have you tried the "scan for hardware changes" in the Device Manager.

Is Legacy USB support enabled in the BIOS.

I've tried that, for every single device in the device manager, but no improvement.
Unfortunately,I've looked through and through but there's no ''legacy USB support'' option in my BIOS

I'm almost out of suggestions I'm afraid  :(

Try clearing the USB port history with USB Oblivion which you can get from here, be sure to create a new restore point before running it.

Hey man, maybe I have a solution. Bought this GP too and had the same problem. Do you tried hold HOME button (between sticks) for 7 seconds? Cause i did it and everything work after that (gamepad show as Xbox 360 controller)
