y hp pavilion dv7 went blue screen displaying the famous 0x00000116 error. My graphics was up to date and the screen don't display, found the error out via external monitor. I tried doing a system recovery only for it to power down with that blue screen again saying I can't finish the recovery. I took my laptop apart and no burnt spots on my graphics or motherboard. However my power jack's burnt on one end. My question could the lack of power due to the dead power jack cause the graphics not to work and cause the blue screen? If replacing the power jack would fix this issue I'm ordering it tonight but wanted to know if that could be causing the blue screen.
