Hi,

Apologies if this is the incorrect forum to post in maybe somebody can guide me to the correct place or move my post.

But... .

I have inherited a code from previous IT team. That adds users from Microsoft Active Directory into a database table created in Microsoft SQL management studio, this displays company users into our intranet.

The problem is that out of 7 new users I have added only 3 have actually "made it" through to the intranet? 4 have not and I am perplexed as to what is stopping them being added through SQL studio.

Please could you help me troubleshoot this?  so far I have checked the SQL mgmt studio and found a few un-ticked boxes within the table properties, ticked what I thought what should be ticked this shows in the intranet but incomplete (so I know that MS SQL management studio is making changes), it shows the name of a user not previously added but no other fields.

Checked the ticked and un-ticked boxes in SQL studio:

XXserver_nameXX -> security -> Logins -> XXX\xxxx  -> properties -> User mapping ->

Error message seen: "One or more databases are inaccessible and will not be displayed in list." -> OK -> Noticed that (the main table name) was NOT ticked
This is the default Company database .dbo table

Selected this tick box

Refreshed the intranet and the incompleted data was shown in the intranet.

I believe this to be a problem with the link of Active directory and SQL management studio but I am not sure which settings to change. Do you guys have any experience of this type of thing happening before?

Should I be checking something obvious that I'm not currently aware of?

I am willing to provide further information to resolve this issue just let me know what might help this situation #

Just on a related note I WAS able to update the db by manually selecting a unique SID but I really do not want to go down that path. Screen shots added to what it should look like and what's happening.,

Many thanks

Andy
