It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

If no updates for these drivers are available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination the errors that have been reported for these drivers and include the brand and model name of your computer as well in the query. After some doing the search above I see that it has to do with NVIDIA drivers.  I have 2 GTX 470 cards and the latest drivers for them.  My PC was recognizing USB drives, I checked my video cards configuration and noticed SLI was disabled.  Once I enabled SLI, my usb drive started having problems being recognized.  I couldn't find a specific driver for nvlddmkm.sys to update.  Should I try installing a NVIDIA driver from last year because I don't remember having this issue last summer?

Consulting with my peers and Instructor, rolling back to a driver that worked previously seem to be the best solution for your situation.

Let me know if you decide to roll back that driver and how it goes.

 

Also, let me know how the machine is running and if there is anything else I can do for you.

 

If not, I will post some final cleanup instructions.

I rolled back the NVIDIA driver to last summer.  That didn't help.  I then check the ASUS website for updates to my motherboard.  There was about 10 updates for different utilities and a new BIOS.  I installed all the new updates, BIOS and then installed the latest NVIDIA drivers.  During the reboot I placed 2 USB thumb drives and a USB external HDD.  I logged in and let it load all the applications then checked windows explorer and all 3 USB devices showed up under my computer.  I was able to right click and eject each device one at a time with no problems.  I then put my two thumb drives in one at a time they were recognized like they should.  These were plugged in on the front USB ports.  I attempted to plug in the external USB HDD in the back and it failed.  I shows up in Device Manager but not under my computer like had when the PC fist booted up.  Looks like this is going to be something that comes and goes.

I have to admit that with PC's, sometimes this (intermittent issues) is what we see. You could visit our Hardware area (here) and see if they could shed more light on things.

 

In the meantime, I think you're in good shape as far as malware (and the lack there of) goes and I'm going to send you on your way.

 

If there is anything right now that you need, do not proceed with my instructions, merely post back and we'll addresses it, otherwise....

 

Good news ----- Your log appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so..The following piece of code will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Download and run Delfix



Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

CryptoPrevent install this programme to lock down and prevent crypto ransom-ware. (This is really important!)



Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean
