Game controller for Tab Pro

Does anyone have any experience with getting and setting up game controllers on Android devices, in particular a Galaxy Tab Pro? I bought an iDroid controller online the other day and I can't get the thing to work with ANY games; even the ones it is suppose to be compatible with. I feel like I completely wasted my $$$ (all of $25) because so far it is completely useless. Any body have any suggestions for getting the thing to work or maybe some other device that does work?
