I have Windows 98SE.

About 2 weeks ago my computer got some Trojans & when I was trying to get rid of them my computer crashed. I reinstalled Windows & now I only have 16 colors on my computer & the desktop is smaller than I had it. How do I fix that? Also my computer will not connect to the internet at all. I reinstalled the Linksys thing 3x & it still doesn't work. I can't reinstall some of my programs, it says some .DLL file is missing. How do I fix all of these problems so I can get my computer back up & running like it was before I got the Trojans?

Someone please help!

Boot the PC to safe mode, click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools, system information, tools, system file checker, load the Windows CD then scan for altered files and replace any it asks for.

Boot the PC and keep tapping the F8 key until you get the options screen, select command prompt only, type scanreg.exe /fix then press enter, when it says OK, press enter then press the ctrl + alt + delete keys together to reboot

These steps will make sure the file system and the registry are correct

If you still have missing dll files after doing the above, post a list of them
