Hello!

Yes you have to create a  boot CD. I use the Linux. Once you create the Linux CD, boot with it and find your image.

Hello! Here's a zip file showing how to create a Linux boot CD. It will boot and give you the option to find your image on your external drive and restore your image to your working drive. It's also good when you need to repace your old HD.

I was able to create the CD and restore the computer, but it restored it back to the way it was with all its problems.

Hello! Yes sir! That's what it's supposed to do. We created a back up image so we could use that image to get back to where we are now. Now we can get crazy.

Lets save your data and restore back to factory. Give me a little time and I'll get back to you! You can now use this image to restore back just like the time you created it.

Now you can restore to factory and start over. It will be just like the day you took it out of the box.

There will be a lot of up dates, but it won't be that bad. Now that you know how to use Macrium and can restore a back up image when you need to; you are in great shape. Please remember you are going back to out of the box with this.

Hello! Right click on the image. You will see explore image.Click on C drive. Windows will assign it a drive letter. You can then open it with Windows Explorer.

This will be a read only, but you can copy and past from it.
