Hi,

I hope I have posted this in the correct section as I'm not quite sure what the problem is - flash problem or sound card problem or both?

When I attempt to play videos (YouTube, new sites, streaming etc.) it either plays without audio or doesn't play at all (loads but when I press play, it stays at 0.00).

The problem does not appear to be restricted to a particular type of browser - occurs in both Chrome and Firefox.

It also appears now that I have a problem with all sound on my laptop e.g. when I attempt to use Spotify, it states 'there is a problem with your sound card'?

However, sometimes when I restart my laptop, everything works fine for a short period of time.

Operating system - Windows 8

Laptop - Samsung Notebook

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi marils :)

Let's try with the most simple solution in this case, re-installing the sound card drivers to make sure that you have to right, up to date and working drivers for your sound card. However for that, I need to know what edition and version of Windows you are running, as well as knowing your exact computer/laptop brand and model. Can you provide me these information please ?

I tried the Microsoft Fix it Solutions Centre option but it wouldn't run.

I am running Windows 8 and my laptop is a Samusung NP900X4C.
