I'm trying to help a neighbor move pictures from their XP machine to just a normal flash drive. Not even getting that far. Created a new folder for better organization on the XP. Trying to move jpegs in to new folder-get this: Error Moving File or Folder Cannot move 122907: Access is denied. make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

Some of the file names were blue (compressed). Most are black.

To me it looks like the USB Flash Drive is set to be in "Read only" mode, which means that you cannot modify it's content, nor add content to it. Is there already files (data) on that USB Flash Drive or no ?

                 Normal flash drive might have been a stretch. It is one of those PW protected SanDisk ones. Yes I have other info on it. I had moved one of her files to it already. But I haven't tried to move this second folder to it yet. There's nothing in it so far.

That didn't work either. Those files were corrupt or messed up when transferred from camera. They don't even show a thumbnail view. I tried Team Viewer-ing them over too-but kept getting errors. So now we're looking for the original memory card.

You may send them into a Zip folder and then uncompress them back into your email? Not sure 100% but if you can't find the Original Memory card it's worth a shot. Hope you figure it out and get your files back...
