alg.exe file missing

I have been triying to enable windows XP firewall with no luck and have found out that when I do a run services.msc my application layer gateway file alg.exe shows code 126 (missing?)- is there a way to install it?

Click start then run,type sfc /scannow then press enter to replace the system files

You would be better using a third party firewall which blocks incoming and outgoing data. The XP firewall only blocks incoming data.

You can get a respected free firewall here, keep selecting zone alarm throughout the installation
