Windows shortcut button on keyboard not working

Its been two weeks since the windows shortcut button on my laptop keyboard stopped working. When i press it, it does generate a sound but the windows menu does not throw up. Someone please help me out.

Apparently, another user had the same issue as you here on GeeksToGo, see this thread.
Can you follow Broni's instructions and check if you have the NoWinKeys and Scancode Map key pairs ?

Alright, it looks like Microsoft released a fix for this issue, can you read the KB article, download the fix, install it then restart your computer ? :)
