Currently running Windows 7.  I have been using office 2010 Home and Student for two years.  Recently purchased and installed Publisher 2013.

Since that time every time I try to use any of the Office 2010 programs I get the message "cannot verify license."  I have tried the repair

function, uninstall and reinstall of the 2010 product and still have the same problem.  Any suggestions?

Hi CharlesWood,

Try this

Make sure the system service "Office Software Protection Platform Service" is automatic and started.

1. Click on Start, type 'services.msc' (without quotes) in search programs and files box above Start and press enter

2. Locate ‘Office Software Protection Platform Service’list right click on it and click on properties.

3. Under General tab, Startup type, Automatically

4. Click Apply and OK.

I have Office 2013 Pro Plus, but i did not see this in mine, might be there for yours.

Unless some kind of compatibility issue having 2010 version with a 2013 Microsoft product together 2 licenses, i would not think so though.

Other suggestion you tried already.
