With upgrades that I want I can get a rig from HP for alittle over 1300. Would this be a better deal? It comes ready to just plug in and use.

I can't say how good it would be,

Should have 2 HDDs, for using FRAPS,

GPU, is made for Dell/HP, you would need to research user reviews to find out how it performs, source, > http://www.tomshardw...x-4gb-info.html

No mention of the PSU and as with Dell/HP, it is usalually adiquite often leaving little room for upgrading other parts.

Yes you could use an external drive, but they are usually USB and very slow interface for using as part of the system.   Works very good if a SATA Dock.

The main reason I am considering that HP is to save money with all the upgrades its still cheaper then part picker. I would have to pay more money for a warrenty and for a shop to put it together.

If you are happy that the HP will meet your needs, then it does seem to be the best option.

Good luck.

If you are going to do video editing using a PC you will probably need:

  • Processor - Intel Core i7 3770 3.40GHz Cache 8MB Ivy Bridge LGA1155 BOX
  • RAM - Corsair 16GB Kit 2*8GB DDR3-1600 CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9 XMP serie Vengeance CAS9
  • Mobo - ASUS P8Z77-V LE PLUS or Biostar Hi-Fi Z97WE
  • HDD - WesternDigital HDD 1TB VelociRaptor 64MB 10000rpm SataIII
  • GPU - Sapphire Radeon HD7970 Dual-X 3GB 384bit Gddr5 Dvi/DP/HDMI
  • Cabinet - Corsair Carbide 200R Middle Tower Nero ATX
  • Optical - DVD Writer / BluRay Writer 12x Sata Nero
  • PSU - Corsair Enthusiast TX750M 750Watt ATX Modulare EPS Pci-E(8) PFC Attivo 80+ Bronze Nero

Thanks for the infor.

I would not go for a X79 build, the 2011 socket is a dead end, although the i7 4820K has a larger L3 cache than the i7 4790K it's base speed is a lot slower and for the level of editing you  plan, tthe higher speed will serve you better.

I will configure the build on CPP to get best prices for parts.

Do you happen to be within a reasonable distance from a Micro Centre for Pick up parts. > http://www.microcent...es/default.aspx

Edit to add content.

The Cyberpower pc looks pretty good at ;first glance, but I think overpriced as some parts are pretty basic and cheap, Azzi keyboard/mouse, headsets, case, some parts not required, water cooler, internal Hub,, flash stick.    Read the reviews on Newegg. > http://www.newegg.ca...CED&Pagesize=20

Your intention to have a local shop build it for you is a good idea as you can get better parts/performance for the money.

The MB is the base Asus, > $120 > http://www.newegg.co...Item=13-132-229

The GPU is weak for a high end gamer.

The HDDs are too big, use three 1TB drives, especially for using FRAPS.

Consider this build, and we can tweak as the case might not be to your liking.  Click on the estimated wattage, towards top right.

Would also suggest you consider some of the latest mobos especially the Z97 series that come with HD sound inbuilt..i got myself a BiostarZ97 mobo and am loving the experience.
