Hello Again,

I'm having a connection problem with my network.  Here is my setup Desktop pc, Wireless Printer Router and DSL modem; This problem started one day when my tablet kept loosing Wifi connection, then I checked my phone and noticed the same issue. I thought it might have been my router so I rebooted that and it didn't fix the problem, then I took the router out of the loop and plugged my Modem directly into my desktop but still having the same problem.  An icon in the lower corner says I lost connectivity, then the message changes and says "I need further verification" so I click on that and it directs me to my DSL setup page and asks for my password, I type it in and the connection comes back then a few minutes later it happens again. It seem to be happening more often now, don't know what that means but I wanted to know if I could do anything to isolate any of the other pieces of my network?

Side note: I called my internet provider a couple of times and the first time they said it may have been a problem on their end but it is still going on.

Any help would be appreciated, I can answer any questions that one may have if not I will do my best to try.

Thank you in advance!

stevenits1 Are you using Firefox, Chrome, IE or Another Browser to access the internet? Have you tried a different Browser to see if the problem persisted?

Have you asked your ISP if they were making updates to there software?

HMHY,

Yes I've tried them all and it will still do it, I ask in a general sense if they had connection problems or were doing maintenance.  If they were doing something I would think they would have told me then and I asked multiple times. Only one time did they say they were doing something and the was the first time I called.

-Thank you for the follow up

Have you tried opening windows in (safe mode) to see if you are able to keep a constant connection?

Click the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818, click the arrow next to the Shut Down button eb058ccf-b21e-4dfe-9bb7-1ad6c83b705c_47., and then click Restart.,

If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you'll need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer.

If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.

On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight the safe mode option you want, and then press Enter.

Then Flush Windows 7  DNS

Operating systems and DNS clients will automatically cache IP Addresses and other DNS results, this is done in order to speed up subsequent requests to the same hostname. Sometimes bad results will be cached and therefore need to be cleared from the cache in order for you to communicate with the host correctly

Due to Microsoft's security additions you must run the command prompt with administrator privileges.

  1. Click the start button and navigate to the command prompt (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt)
  2. Make sure that you right click on the command prompt application and choose "Run as Administrator"
  3. Type in the command   ipconfig /flushdns   ((Copy&Paste The (ipconfig / flushdns) So you get this right the first time.))   :)

I just wanted to say please don't give up on me or close the thread I'm doing what you said and it seems to have gotten better but I don't want to call it fixed yet until I put my router back on line and test it out.

thank you!
