Hi, Which Windows are you using? Which is the other account you see when you try to login in Safe mode? Admin????

Ok, If its Admin user account the password (If not changed) is usually blank.
i think it home basic.
it's my moms pc and she bought it from my cousin
so in normal mode it's my mom's
and in safe it's my cousin's left over account
i guess we could ask her (cousin) if she could give up her password to us, if she remember it.
but that will have to wait until tomorrow
i guess we did not think to change admin privileges
Hi jeffcaissie,
If your mom bought it from your cousin, now it is her property to do with as she pleases, so why not restore to factory condition? That will resolve all your problems.
Just boot the computer and as soon as you see the "splash screen" (Acer logo) press the Alt + F10 keys simultaneous. That should bring up the recovery menu.
You will need to remove all the pre-installed software that came with it and reinstall all the Windows Updates. It is a tedious task but well worth it in the end.
We would be more than happy to guide you through this process.

Where are these Important files saved to? Maby a description of the files you are talking about, Such as: Videos, Pictures, Program files...
i got important files from pc
after pushing alt+F10
i get to a screen that says.
edit windows boot options for vista
path: \windows\system32\winload.exe
patition 2
hard disk 38abbc2a
[ /noexecute=optin]
do i have to change the command for it to restore.
