Hello, can anyone help me, I'm getting a random BSOD where it says something about updating driver error tcpip.sys , what does that mean and how do I fix it? I saw in another thread that I should attach my .dmp files in the windows minidump folder, so I did that. Please someone help me

Can I ask what anti virus protection you use (if any).

 

Please check the Device Manager for any yellow ! or red X against any device/s and the Network card in particular.

 

We may need to run Driver Verifier to see if we can force a crash that will identify any rogue drivers with the one below from one of your dump file being a candidate;

It happens randomly, when I'm just browsing the web or streaming a movie.

I got Norman anti virus, which I have had since I got the computer 3 years ago. 

I ran some problem solving where it said :

Hardware errors in video:

I don't have a clue about what that means, and it just said that it couldn't be reported at the moment .

How do I run a driver verification ?

Could be either the system Ram or the VRam (video chip memory) please do basic Windows 7 memory test and let us know how it goes, details here

 

Norman AV is not considered as one of the best and if it is free I would suggest replacing it with either Avast or MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) both are very good and available free, regardless we may need to temporarily swap it for troubleshooting purposes, AVs can sometimes cause problems with internet connections such as closing them down as being suspicious when there is nothing wrong with them.

 

Memory test, video chip test and then Driver Verifier if still required.
