i got an external dvd drive.  it is fine, but, i can't open it in computer.  when i click on it, i get a stupid error that there is no file association with it.

i tried to burn a cd, using burnaware, and it went through the whole thing like it was burning it.  when my ol' lady put it in her cd player though, there was nothing there, and in another computer, it shows that it is empty.

how do i get a file association with the E: drive, and make sure that her songs get on the cd this time?

Hi iamjumbo

Try look at Default programs in control panel ? What do you mean by click on it, click open  ?, when you click on it does it eject ask for a disc if nothing is in it, or is it only happen when a disc is in it ?

Either set default programs settings in control panel to set file types for default programs, associate a file type to open a program, set Auto Play functions.

Check file associations with BurnAware here. Some burners programs mattering to the settings to when you burn, may not always be able to play in every home CD/DVD Player.
