Using Windows 8.1, how do I see whether or not I have a certain app already loaded in, say iTunes? What is the equivalent of XP's Start/All Programs?

Thanks.     batpark

Hi,

On your metro start menu, click the little arrow on the bottom left of the screen. Then you will get the equivalent of the old programs menu.

You can browse or you can start typing the name and it will narrow the list.

For example you can just start typing "itu" and itunes will appear.

Install Classic Shell, then you will have the Start menu you are used to. Simplifies use of Windows 8 a lot.

ztruker, ruggie_uk:: Thank you both. I'm opting for Classic Shell, what I've been praying for. ... batpark
