i downloaded this free version of this program and it gave me a new cd drive icon  i did not have before

it's under devices with removable storage.

dose any body use this program ? is this normal? or should i remove it?

there is also a icon in toolbar i cant turn off with ccleaner startup tool.

i tried to download it again and chrome said it was malicious.

Regarding the CD icon: Try opening PowerISO, click the menu item, then Options >> Configuration. Click the Virtual Drive tab and uncheck the box "Use custom icon for virtual drives."

Turning off the icon in toolbar: Open Control Panel. Go to Appearance and Personalization >> Taskbar and Start Menu (Or Taskbar and Navigation). Under notification area, click customize. Find the PowerISO and either click "Only show notifications" or "Hide icon and notifications"

Hope this helps! :D

Edit: Regarding the malicious warning, it could be a false positive, but more likely than not that second download had extra files that are malware. This would most likely be the case if you changed the download origin of the file, but it still might be the case even if you didn't. Please start a topic in the malware removal forum for this possibility.

the program also gave me a new tcp connection. is that good?

and i would like to stop the program from opening on start up.

i find i already have enough programs that open on start up.

some times i get "not responding" messages from other programs.

i figure my pc is getting a the end of its resource powers.

i recently got some new free programs, maybe i need to check my processes and services.

to see if any thing can be removed to free up resources.

You need to have the malware removed on this one as well as the one for your mom.
