I get an error message when I try to open Excel files with macros. The error message simply says Excel has encountered a problem opening the file. The message is so general I don't know where to start troubleshooting.

The problem is not associated with the security setting.

The problem started occuring when I upgraded to Office 2003.

Any thoughts?
