My main computer has had 7 Pro 64-bit on it for 2 years, but since my spare had xp pro on it, I finally bit the bullet and put 7 home premium on it. I have an Epson Artisan 810 printer hardwired to my main computer. It's all hardwired to a d-link router. I remember seeing that both machines had to be at least 7. Can anybody steer me to where I can figure out how to print from my spare computer? Thanks!

Gday.

Printer software/driver installation can be very picky in the order of steps to be taken, I.E. software first or hardware first, also, if any type of network is already in place, (wired) it must be disabled in order to install a differenty type, (wireless).

I advice using the support product page, select the Drivers and Downloads link.   Get the latest driver/package for your OS version, save to both computer.

From the support page, select the Manuals link, download the Network Installation Guide, save to both computers, decied which is suitable for you.

Delete the installation on the main computer and install fresh.

Install the package on the second computer.

There are some videos there as well.

Good luck.

That did it. Once you mentioned uninstalling the Epson software package, I remembered the option of "with networking" and "without networking" on the 2 different software packages for my model printer. I ran an Ethernet cable from the printer to the router and installed the "with networking" software on both computers and enabled print sharing in control panel, network & sharing center and it worked. Thanks for the help!
