HI Bob, that is fine, the new one as you can see is exactly the same as the old one and also is correct for the laptop. Just be careful of keeping the power unit in free air to prevent overheating and you should be OK.

Unless I know the battery needs topping up, I always make sure it is disconnected from the mains when not in use as even when the laptop is off, and the battery fully charged, it is still drawing some power and adding that little bit extra to your months end power bill. Even if it isn't that much, why throw money at those greedy supply companies, they get enough as it is. :D

Yeah but the Chinese manufacturers did not round it up while converting into Amperes. :D I'm now leaving it on the table and checking it frequently if it's getting overheated.

Now that is what I don't do, there are many instances when I left it all night for my Steam downloads or batch video conversions which I won't do from now. :smashcomp:  No, I agree to that point, it costs me money. Be it a cent or a dollar, it's MONEY.
