I replaced the screen in my laptop myself, it was an easy fix. And now that I got it put back together it loads up and startup repair comes up and is running. It came up and said something about windows couldn't repair the problem, to restart & trey again. When I read thru the diagnosis and repair details everything else besides 1 thing says completed successfully. Then it says root cause found: unspecified changes to system configuration might have caused the problem. And gives this error code 0x1f and it says repair action: system files integrity check and repair result:failed error code = 0x490.

It's an Acer 5250 - bz873
Windows 7

Hi, just on the off chance, while you were replacing the screen, did you at all take the back off and possibly disturbed the hard drive connections? If possible just check that it is properly seated in its assembly.

Also check the RAM modules are correctly seated as well.

Nev.
