Thanks for the info about your hibernation solution

Plus I no longer have the message "This copy of Windows 7 is not genuine" in the lower right portion of the desktop screen.

Why were you getting this message?

I have no idea except that I installed the system from a DELL reinstall disk. Also in the bios, the ram is set at 2800mhz but the sticks are geared for 1600mhz. I think I should change that configuration.

Yes you should fix your ram mhz, you should put it on AUTO first to see if it will fix the problem. If it was already set at AUTO then you should set it manually at 1600 mhz.

If you used a Dell reinstall disk to install Windows where did you take your Product Key code, if you did not enter a code then you will for sure keep on getting that message until you either enter a code that you already have or will have to purchase a code from Microsoft.

No. I found a hack/crack on the net.
Besides I paid for the software. Right now I've download loaded the .iso so I can repair the installation if the need arises.

Just ordered dual ram to fill the vacant slots on the mobo for a total of 16gb of DDR3 PC-3, 1.5v CL9. I might end up overclocking it and the cpu.

Everytime I tried to validate the OS, Windows complained it could validate and to try again later. That's why I tried the crack-which ended up not working anyway. So now I am again seeing the "This copy of Windows is not genuine" message. A search of the web turns up others are also experiencing the same hang up.
