I have a Vostro 200 / Windows XP
Not sure if it's age or other, but in the last week everything is moving slower than a snail. Specifically launching any program...whether opening a folder, a document, or chrome browser (this in particular takes forever...text delays showing up as i enter url, then the url actually processing takes forever).

I ran through the Malware removal process and removed a trojan + some PUPS and restarted. Problem still exists.

Please help me before i pull all my hair out!

Thank you,
Lee

Lee, it's quite possible you have more malware on your computer.

Go to the Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal forum, read the first post and follow instructions.

Come back here once you get a clean bill of health if you still have problems.

Edit: Previous post had info for WhatTheTech, the sister site to GeeksToGo, sorry, Fixed now.
