Hi All,

 

I have just purchased a new computer and am now running WINDOWS 8.1.

I have a few programs for which I do not have the original discs.

Is there any way these can be transferred to my new system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do these programs require a license key? If they do, most of the time you are able to simply download the program and enter the license key.
Another option would be to contact the companies and to describe your problem.

No, no licence or CD keys.   I got them from "various sources" with no documentation etc.

The main ones are:- The Print Shop 22 and Adobe Audition 3.0

"various sources" sounds a lot like "downloaded them without permission". the short answer is no.....you cannot transfer installed applications from one system to another. you have to have the installer for the applications (whether that's on a disc or downloaded from the proper source).

 

a quick google search of the two apps you just listed shows that neither has a free version of the full software installation. the adobe product has a free trial, but like all adobe software does not have a freely available version. you need to purchase both of these software packages and install them from the media that is delivered to you after purchasing them.
