I'm very computer 'slow,' so anything you can give me in great detail would be wonderful. Chances are that I'm going to have some questions with this process.

I've followed all starting instructions on your site:
Clean-Up was ran.
Ad-Aware was ran. (log file saved)
CWShredder was ran.
Spybot S&D was ran.
Ewido was ran. (log file saved)
Trend Housecall could not be ran.
Windows XP Service Pack 1 was installed.
Rebooted

Since I've posted this log, I've downloaded and installed an Aurora Remover Utility from majorgeeks.com/download4609.html

I hope this was a proper utility and not some form of malicious spyware/adware in disguise. If this program can be a problem on my computer, please let me know, as well as how I can repair any damage that it may have caused.

Well, I'm no longer bothered by Aurora popups, though now I'm being infested with random trojan infections. Norton has told me about 3+ trojans in the last 48 hours alone. I've run some programs, so I believe I've removed them, but even after I do remove them, a new one seems to come back. I haven't been visiting any sites out of the normal for me, so I'm wondering if some sort of program is constantly installing them on my computer. The last one I was notified about was located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\Amanda\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\S9T6L6OK\00002919[1].jpg
When I scanned for it again, it did not come up, but it was never removed. The notification given to me by norton said that it couldn't be removed.

Set PC to show hidden files (click link if you do not know how)LINK

Download and install CleanUp! Here. Do not run it yet.

Run this online virus scan: ActiveScan - Save the results from the scan!

Disable Spyware Doctor

Boot into Safe Mode:
Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Now run Ewido that i see you have, click on the Scanner button, Select drives if you have more than one and then start.

grab a cup of coffee, sandwiches, book as this may take some time. Once the first problem is detected ensure you tick the box for all (bottom left) and allow it to continue.

At the end of the scan, it may ask if you would like to delete anything found in archive or zipped files, OK that request, then click on save report. SAVE to the default location, it will then generate a text file. Copy that to post in this thread.

Now scan with HJT and check the following entries if they are there. Some may have been removed by earlier procedures.

Reboot your computer into normal windows.

Rescan with HJT and post the log back with the other logs

Okay, so after doing all of that, I couldn't locate:

c:\windows\system32\hnpsnc.exe in Windows Explorer

When I did a search for the program, I found a similar program with the following name:

HNPSNC.EXE-0A4AA9D1.pf so I deleted that.

From your log, I see nothing in the ways of trojans, nor any evil entities attempting to possess your computer, except for Windows but it's too late for that one. :tazz:

Congratulations your log now appears to be clean.

Here are some tips, to reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future, I strongly recommend installing the following applications:

Detect and Remove Programs:

How to use Ad-Aware to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Ad-Aware.
How to use Spybot to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Spybot. Similar to Ad-Aware, I strongly recommend both to catch most spyware.

Prevention Programs:

Spywareblaster <= SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed.
Spywareguard <= SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.
IE/Spyad <= IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (Cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
MVPS Hosts file <= The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your coputer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer
Google Toolbar <= Get the free google toolbar to help stop pop up windows.

Other necessary Programs:

AntiVirus Program<= An AntiVirus program is a must! Whether it is a free version like AVG or Anti-Vir, or a shareware version like Norton or Kapersky, this is a must have.
Firewall<= A firewall is definatley a must have. Two good free versions are Sygate and ZoneLabs.
More Secure Browser<= Internet Explorer is not the most secure and best browser. There are safer and better alternatives available. I recommend Firefox, however Opera and SlimBrowsers are good as well.
