HI All,

Is there any way I can get the old Notepad program (as in XP) for Windows 8.1.

On my old PC I found notepad to be very useful tool but the replacement I have on my current system is awful.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Do not think this is possible to get and even work in Windows 8.1.

What are you trying to do that can not be done with Windows 8.1 Notepad.?

It's really not about what can't be done - it's the WAY that it's done.  The note pad I have now is very cumbersome whereas the one I had previously was extremely simple and quick.

Hi,

I suggest you take a look to Notepad2 a free and simple notepad alternative with some extra useful functions, it's one of the first things I install in every machine.

I don't see any difference between Notepad on Windows 8 and any previous version of Notepad.

Can you be more specific about what the problem is?
