I have two drives

1. Has Windows 7

2. Extra storage

I'll go into the bios and set the boot option and the boot priorities to the Windows 7 drive and the OS loads up fine. But when I click restart to boot options have reverted back to the extra storage drive and I get the boot: 0 error.

Do drives still do master and slave and would that work if the extra storage was a slave drive and the windows 7 was master? Or is there a better way to resolve this?

Hi,

Are you sure that you set the boot order on the BIOS permanently?

In some BIOS there is an option to change the boot order for the next boot only called "alternate boot order" or something similar, if you use that option the second boot will use the old boot order.

I set it on Boot Option#1

and Hard Drive BBS Priorities. I don't see any other options for setting boot order. After I'm done I hit F10 and Save and Quit and it will boot correctly that time. But mess up next time.

Here's a pic of the bios http://postimg.org/image/nul0f5u57/

What options you have access on "Boot Option #1" and on the "Hard Drive BBS Priorities"?

Hi,

Can you change other options in the BIOS and save the changes or they are lost also?

When the machine starts do you see any error about the CMOS battery?

Do you know the motherboard revision and the actual BIOS you have?
