I'm upgrading the RAM in my machine and I'm not sure if this will be compatible... Help?
From your specs,4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 32 GB of system memory, so I would not use 1.65v RAM. > http://www.gigabyte....spx?pid=4591#sp When looking at the Memory Support List, the choice is not all the great.
Go to, > http://www.crucial.c...n/systemscanner run the scanner to see compatible memory, note, you do not have to buy there brand. You must also ensure the rplacement sticks have no issues with hight clearance with your installed CPU cooler.
Lol I was afraid of that... I already bought the RAM :| Will it still operate? Is there a way to turn the voltage up? Or make the ram use only 1.5v?
No, you can't under volt RAM to that extent or force the board to output 1.65v without burning something out. The seller may be willing to do an exchange.
Did you run the memory scanner,? results?
