If I can just add a bit here, providing that both computers have a disk drive, rather than a USB drive it might work better if you burn the ISO to a disk, if Windows 7 it will be best on a Write only DVD disk. If problems with burning as a correct bootable ISO disk, you can download, install, and use ImgBurn from here :-

http://www.imgburn.c...hp?act=download

Possibly best and safest download is their own at 7 or MajorGeeks at 6.

During download and install keep an eye out for and remove ticks for unwanted tool bars or other softwares, if offered an advanced option, use it as it is there where you will find the unwanted junk to remove the ticks.

Once installed, use "Write Image File to Disk" option. Choose a low speed to be sure of a correct burn.

If no disk drive on the problem machine, ignore me.

Nev.

Acknowledged Nev and my exact thoughts regarding burning an ISO to disk as opposed to a thumbdrive download, regardless the information required is available here at GTG provided courtesy of admin and there is no need to go to other forums in this instance  ;)

Ok I tried rufus and it did not give me any issues when turning it into a bootable usb. So the goal here is to do a clean install of windows 7?

That is the correct course of action as you need to fully remove the present compromised software from the SSD, a fresh install of Windows 7 will also format the SSD as part of the installation process.

Once you have the legit Windows 7 on the SSD, download and install all important W7 updates + the drivers for your MB etc, post back when done or if you have any questions along the way.

Would a clean install affect the contents of my HDD as well in a clean install? or format only the partitions on the SDD?

Only the data on the SSD will be affected, just be sure that you select the SSD as the drive to where you wish to install Windows to (the present C: drive).
