So I was on Ebay looking for a video card and came across this auction for $150.00 and bid.

http://cgi.ebay.com/...me=STRK:MEWN:IT

Things escalated and I ended up winning it for $230.00.

Will it be a nice addition to my:

Asus A8N SLI deluxe
AMD 64 3500+
1024 RAM

Good deal? Good card?

Thanks.

should be a fine card!
I think the SLI requires two of the same card, if thats what your going for.

I looked that card up on newegg, it goes for $289, so you came out ahead.

Excellent, I'll take a deal wherever I can find it... All I need is the moniter and the HDD and my first PC will be complete!

And yes, I do plan on taking the SLI route later in the year when prices have dropped or at least until it's necessary to run newer games.

I can run this by itself though right?

absolutely. you will need to check the jumper/dipswitch settings on your mobo to make sure its set to run in single card mode, but that is probably the default. check it to be sure.

It is very difficult to get SLi working if you get a new card later you will have to upgrade the old cards bios and make sure that you buy the same model from the same manufacturer.Even then it might not work.
