i've already downloaded all the stuff that the "new users go here" post says (ewido, AVP, etc. etc.). i'm running windows XP home edition.

the main thing that's going on is these ads showing up in the background while i'm online. they keep popping up using internet explorer...which i've uninstalled two different ways already...whereas the browser i use is firefox.

In the future please DO NOT post your HJT Logs in this forum unless told so.

It is highly recommended that you install your HijackThis Tool in a safe location where you can easily find them. It is suggested you place them in C:\HJT, that way it could create backups necessary for future restore.

Post a log as a new topic in the HijackThis Forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results
