Very long system start up

Hi,

I have problem with my computer. After I press turn on button it take 6-10 minutes until I can work on it. The longest time it take to show desktop and after that i have for 5 minutes 100% of procesor use and 40-60% of RAM.

 

I tried to do something with Windows Software Development kit but it give me error after 5 reboot:

 

"Gave up waiting for Win7RTM physical prefetcher after 300 second. Could not wiat for prefetcher"

 

After runing it again it give me the same error after 1 reboot.

 

Naathim was helping me with cleaning my computer from virus and then we tried to speed up my computer but after this error he recomended me this forum to further help :P

I think TuneUp Utilities can do something like that so you suggest to uninstal it or what to do?

 

I will write better all the situation

 

After I press the turn on button:

1. It takes 1-2 minutes when the log in window show up

2. It takes 3-4 minutes after desktop start to show up and icons are still not there

3. After ~1 minute icons show up

4. 5-7 minutes when computer have 100% of processor and 40-60% of RAM use but the main proces who take all 100% is svhost.exe ...

 

Maybe i can disable programs starting with system without tuneup utilites and then uninstal it to check if it was him... second suspect is my antyvirus program - Avast - can he slow so much my computer? If yes, which program should i use to protect my computer without slowing it ?

NB: Please avoid using any form of so called tune up or system optimizing software as they often do more harm than good and in a worse case scenario they can damage your system with the recommended fix suggested by the software responsible requiring a fee from the provider.

If you still want to help I'll be very glad

 

Still I have problem with svchost.exe. After my computer start and the desktop is show i need to wait 10-15 minutes untill I'll be able to work normal. First 10 minutes I've 100% of procesor use but I don't do anything... just waiting... then for 5 next minutes it still jump from 0 to 50% from 30% to 100% of procesor use... I don't know why it still show the svchost.exe of the most of procesor using process. I hope you will know the answer.

Please download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will tell us your hardware details and what software is running or stopped.

 

Avast btw is one of the lightest on resources AVs despite it also being among the best, on it`s own it will not slow down your computer in any way.

 

Once we have the Speccy url I will be able to provide you with steps for improving the computers performance.

PS if something should be uninstaled (some programs that always make problems) just write it, there is a big chance that i dont use it but some file are still on my computer.

To start off, I strongly suggest you to uninstall TuneUp Utilities. This program actually bloats your system and brings you nothing good. Uninstalling it is the best thing to do for your system.

Also, I would like you to :
  • Download and execute MiniToolBox;
  • Check the List Installed Programs checkbox;
  • Click on Go;
  • Copy/paste the content of the output log here in your next post;

Ok i uninstaled tuneup utilities. What about this two programs:

- ccleaner

- auslogic bootspeed

should I unistal them aswell?

The Auslogic one isn't needed, however it would be good to keep CCleaner.

PS after desktop show up i need to wait 20 minutes till procesor use will decres from 100% to less than 50%... it drive me crazy...

Looks like only Avast! is starting on boot. For the services, a bit harder to tell as the file is hard to read because it's not in English (at least, services descriptions aren't).

Can you tell me which process is using the most CPU via the Task Manager, Processes tab (order the processes with the CPU column by clicking on it once).

The most cpu using process is svchost.exe, few of them, one is connected with loading intenet connection other one with loading desktop and windows settings... I dont know what to do...

Let's try something :
  • Click on the Windows Start Menu, type in cmd;
  • On the little icon that will appear, right-click on it and select Run as Administrator;
  • In the command prompt, enter the following command : sfc /scannow ;
  • Tell me what message is returned after the completion of the scan (once it reaches 100%);
