I use McAfee VirusScan and it keeps on popping up a message box saying that the file C:\Windows\lsass.exe was infected by W32/Kelvir.worm.gen virus. I have no idea how I got it in the first place I assume that it is sent by someone through msn messenger( I know, evil and demented people out to destroy our pc ) Back to the subject, can anyone tell me how I can get rid of this worm/virus? Any help is greatly appreciated

• Please download Spybot Search & Destroy 1.4 and Ad-Aware 1.06.
  Follow all the instructions on this website to run a scan with both of these softwares.
  
• Please Download CoolWebShredder , Extract it & run the program. Click the Check for Updates, download if there is available. Click Fix ->.
  
• Download and install Cleanup, then run.

Even the best antispyware programs are only able to remove about 70% of infections. Also, the line between spyware and trojans is getting blurred. You can never be too careful with these, I recommend at least one online scan.

Now, REBOOT in Normal Mode and have an On-line scan at this sites: Trend Micro or Panda Scan.

REBOOT again.

Thank you sooo much kool808! I downloaded all except for the CleanUp program. When I click on it, it keeps on saying " The page cannot be found" Can you provide me another site to download it? Thanks alot
