My computer freezes up and I have to power if off, then go to safe mode before I reboot it normally after I try to use the video or voice on skype, however the type chat works fine.

After searching a little at skype and acer i found the message 'as of Dec 31,  2013 the acer vcm would no longer support skype'. I remember clicking this message at skype but the message didnt say anything about a fix..just that it wont be supported anymore. The acer website has some info archived but basically say try to uninstall and reinstall skype. With the vcm.. or vc not being supported that should not make a difference uninstalling and reinstalling skype.

any ideas other thatn going to a non acer product?

thanks
