Hi tjmcs,
What operating system ?
Take look at both of these articles some solutions to try

Am running win7. May have found a solution to this and other internet problems I am having by using one of your links. Checked the event log. Several red marks. All having to do with dhcp -client. Code is Ipaddressnotassigned. What does that mean?
This means your ip address is not assigned by the DHCP client. Do you have any other browsers, do they work ? Have an X over internet icon on the notification area ?
Not familiar with this but you can try this.
Go to Run and Type services.msc
Click OK.
Locate the DHCP Client service.
Double-click it.
Make sure it's Started and the Startup Type is set to Automatic.
If the service is already Started, try Stopping and Restarting it.
Seems you might have no ip address.
Try running the network troubleshooter, click icon in notification area select troubleshoot.
There is way to flush the DNS in command prompt, not sure how, have to look it up.

Stopped and restarted DHCP. Flushed DHCP. I only use IE.
We shall see what happens.
