Hello Rebel beauty
What do you mean your WiFi says it's connected?
Where does it say this at?
In your routers set up page?
So when you say "connection activity" you are probably
talking about the light on the router/gateway starting to blink.
Ignore that if thats what your referring to.
Two reasons why I say that:
First of all, Comcast is trying to make the entire planet one big 'hotspot'...
I'm kidding, sort of. All the new gateways they give customers now
have a public WiFi hotspot built into them, which can be accessed by
any Xfinity customer within range.
However, it is a completely separate access point from your personal WiFi.
They operate independently from eachother.
I mention this because when I found out about it, I thought it could be a security risk.
Second, the activity light on these junk gateways that Comcast
uses is meaningless. The light will go crazy at random times for no
reason. Even with the public hotspot shut off.
To shut off the public hotspot feature go here.
Scroll down to this question:
"How do I disable/enable the XFINITY WiFi Home Hotspot feature?"
Now if you need help getting your devices connected to your WiFi,
we will need some more information.
Brand and model of gateway?
Were you ever able to connect, when did this start?
You say every night after 9pm. So are you able to connect the rest of the day?
Thank you and have a great day.

sounds to me like someone (your parents maybe?) have set a time access restriction, so from 9pm onwards (bedtime maybe?) no-one can use wifi to get onto the internet.
