hello, i need some serious help please. i got a virus i think a trojan not 100% sure which one or how long it has been in my computer. before i got locked out of most of my computer i noticed mse and spybot had both removed trojans, 1 each. but clearly something got by them. my computer started running slower, and i noticed folders i didnt recognize as well as tasks running that were downloading god only knows what. then i started noticing programs i didnt recognize, then folders with lock on the icon. then i couldnt open app data, program, windows, system files. when i clicked run as administrator i was told i didnt have permission. i tried norton security suite which is offered by comcast to its customers and it didnt help. in fact i cant even reinstall it now. at one point norton support remotely accessed my computer and despite my repeated statements that the virus is disguised as a windows file and will replicate at start up as well download i would guess its little friends, she did a "cleanboot" using only windows programs. that is when i got locked out of my c drive entirely. i have tried malwarebytes anti malware, and anti rootkit, spy bot, norton, mse all to no avail. even if one does find something it seems to just come back at the next start up. i have been running in safe mode with networking trying to find a solution because safe mode is the only way i have access to anything. i cant save my files because when i try to it says that c drive is not available or access denied. i would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give.

Thank you!

If Safe Mode is all that will work, that's fine. See if you can perform the following steps and then post the resulting logs.

51a5d669693dd-icon_OTL.png Scan with OTL

Please download OTL by OldTimer and save the file to your desktop.

  • Right-click on 51a5d669693dd-icon_OTL.png icon and select RunAsAdmin.jpg Run as Administrator to start the tool.
  • Make sure that Scan All Users, LOP check and Purity check are ticked.
  • For 64-bit systems only - make sure that Include 64-bit option is also ticked.
  • Sections Processes, Modules, Services, Drivers, Standard Registry are set to Use Safelist.
  • Section Extra Registry is also set to Use Safelist.
  • Under the Custom Scans/Fixes bar in the box paste in the following:
    BASESERVICES

    /md5start

    rpcss.dll

    /md5stop

  • Push Run Scan and wait patiently.
  • Two notepad windows will be opened after this run: OTL.txt (maximized) and Extras.txt (minimized).

Please include the content of both logfiles in your next reply.
