Hi
I've just reinstalled windows XP after having some problems with it. And I kept my folders (My Documents).
When I did the reinstall I just put windows over the old installation. I also used the same credentials when installing.

My problem is that I get access denied when i try to open my old folder.

Does anyone have a suggestion how to solve this.

regards
JanT

You could try taking ownership of your My Documents Folder, see Microsoft

If this doesn't work you may have to boot the computer with a Knoppix CD and copy the files you need to a CD or even floppies if they'll fit.
Knoppix is a version of Linux that you can get from Here
