I have spent a few stressful weeks checking each and every VS setting. I now beleive it's my laptop. For those of you who do not program the first image is of the form in design mode and the next when compiled. The images will be attached to the post as they are quite large.

I really am my wits end.  I saw a youtube video on my laptop that some things would not display right as it was to "advanced". Not sure if i believe that.

Turns out it's related to my application being coded for a low DPI screen.
