Hi all,

 

I installed Bitdefender total security 2015 on a new notebook (lenovo yoga 2 pro).

 

now i get informed by the antivirus that 

 

"The application accesses a web resource http://superfisch.ai...m/set.pgp?ID=64******************************************* that has been detected as infected. The web resource has been successfully blocked and your PC is now safe."

 

As the computer is newly bought and set up, i am unsure where this comes from.

 

Operating System: Windows 8.1

Installed programs until now:

- 5pm time tracker

- Adobe Air

- Adobe Reader

- Altium Designer 14

- Bitdefender

- Display link drivers

- edrawings 2014

- chrome

- skype for desktop

- openvpn

- todoist

- vlc media player

 

Most important:

Was allready on the Computer:

Superfish Inc. VisualDiscovery Version 1.0.0.1

 

Is this really malicious? Is it usefull? Bloatware? Probably false positive?

Could you please perform the following scan and post the results.

 

Scan with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

• Right-click on icon and select Run as Administrator to start the tool.
  (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
• When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
• Make sure that Addition option is checked.
• Press Scan button and wait.
• The tool will produce two logfiles on your desktop: FRST.txt and Addition.txt.

Please copy and paste their content into your next reply.
