I've got a HP Mini 1000 Model# 1030nr.

I forgot my password and am running into a problem on the BIOS screen. It tells me to enter my current password. After 3 failed attempts, it tells me--
Password check failed
Fatal error...system halted
CNU9141N64

Please help me, I've tried entering several different codes.

:welcome:    Bd3212

Slightly puzzled as you asked for assistance with the same issue on the HP forums and at 4.38pm yesterday you post there that the issue was resolved, you then asked the same question here at 11.15pm  :headscratch:

You did the right thing by contacting HP direct as we could have only suggest that you do the same or have a local reputable tech take a look, for this you would need a proof of ownership such as the sales receipt/invoice, picture ID such as a drivers licence/passport  and proof of your home address.

GTG Password Policy.

BIOS or Operating System's passwords are there for the purpose related to Security and Privacy to protect the legitimate owner of a machine. While there are many locations on the Internet that might help you learn about managing passwords for a machine's BIOS or Operating System, we a G2G do not assist in what amounts to hacking past a machine's Security and Privacy safeguards.

While such requests are often legitimate, and come from users who experience exactly the kind of problem that you post, we have no way of determining legitimate vs. not legitimate, therefore we do not respond to such requests.
