Please run a free online virus scan here (tick the "Auto Clean checkbox):
http://housecall.antivirus.com/

And a free trojan scan here:
http://www.moosoft.com/

have you ran anything for spyware yet?

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I did what you said to do and results are as follows:

HouseCall AntiVirus did not find any infected files on the hard drive.

The Cleaner Professional Scan found 3 instances of a trojan named MySearchBar and deleted each of them.

I ran Spybot S&D and it "fixed" whatever problems it found.

Thanks

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu). Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following:

C:\Program Files\MyWay\
C:\Program Files\Kinddo\ Name Starts With This
C:\WINDOWS\System32\saristar.dll
C:\Program Files\Titlel\ Name Start With This
C:\Program Files\Blubster\
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\daleantiholetime\
C:\Program Files\Save\
C:\Program Files\Textbr 1.0\ Name Starts With This
C:\Documents and Settings\pc1\Application Data\My-disgo\
C:\Program Files\ClockSync\

Next, please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

O2 - BHO: myBar BHO - {0494D0D1-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\Program Files\MyWay\myBar\1.bin\MYBAR.DLL

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log, and let us know how your system's working. <_<

This might not completely FIX this problem, but you should delete this:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\EPSON\EBAPI\SAgent2.exe

Go into Common Files and Go Into EPSON and Delete the EBAPI folder.

And also try deleting this manually: R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.pxhuwotbr...LW7SDb/ackx.htm

This might not completely FIX this problem, but you should delete this:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\EPSON\EBAPI\SAgent2.exe

SAgent2.exe is the status monitor for the Epson Printer. Deleting this will not solve your problem.

This might not completely FIX this problem, but you should delete this:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\EPSON\EBAPI\SAgent2.exe

SAgent2.exe is the status monitor for the Epson Printer. Deleting this will not solve your problem.

Sorry about that, Because a Search Assistant also has the name "SAgent.exe" etc.
