OK, so in early September I purchased a new All-In-One Computer and a few weeks later upgraded the RAM from 8GB to 16GB. I was wondering if I can upgrade my processor and/or graphics card. I can't simply replace the processor because the one it already has is the only compatible one so, I will have to buy a completely new motherboard but I don't know what is compatible with what so I came here so you guys can help me find the motherboard I need. Also the best compatible Graphics Card for the new motherboard and is anything else up-gradable? Thanks for any reply.

From your edited OP we now know that the computer concerned is a HP all in one which unfortunately gives you an almost zero upgrade path with maxing out the Ram as you have done being about as much as can be upgraded I`m afraid,  AIO computers have what is basically a notebook MB and replacing these when one fails is 9 out of 10 times not a cost effective option, see example here your CPU is locked at 2.0GHz (no turbo) and Ram speed is a max of 1600MHz, the example MB at the link is only faster than your CPU when turbo kicks in (2.4GHz) the graphics solution is also slightly faster as is the spec of Ram that is required which is 1866MHz which means that your present Ram would be of no use, I think that you will agree that for such a small gain spending almost $500 on a new MB and CPU etc is simply not worth it.

Well just for regular use but also Minecraft and hosting a Minecraft server just for friends and I allocate a few Gigs of RAM to the server. So what you're saying is that it can't be upgraded and much of the RAM will not be used? Should I invest in a custom build then?

I don`t know what the requirements of a Minecraft server are so cannot comment on that, upgrading your present system is not financially viable for so little performance gain.

 

Minecraft Server/Requirements/Dedicated here note the minimum rated spec of CPU required for Windows Vista, 7 and 8.
