:welcome:     sundrinalove,

No problems whatsoever with Windows 8 or 8.1.

What problems are you having and what desktop computer do you have Windows 8 running on.

I run win 8.1 on Toshiba Satellite (not a desktop, of course) and find it very fast and stable. The only problem I had so far was with the last update for Synaptics touchpad which disabled the touchpad. I had to uninstall and hide it to prevent re-installation. Now all works as it should.

I upgraded to Windows 8.1 from Windows 7 this summer, a process that usually leaves a lot of people with issues, but so far, I've had none. I don't know if it's because I know how to use Windows properly or just luck, but I find Windows 8.1 quite efficient and light-weight compared to Windows 8.1. I love Windows 7, but I have no issues in using Windows 8.1, therefore I wouldn't go back.

If you run Windows 8, you might want to upgrade to Windows 8.1 and install every Important Updates there is. This will help improve Windows 8.1 performance and stability by a lot.
