Hello, in our living room we play movies on our smart TV from hard drives, my children want to do the same in there rooms, none of there devices support AVI's.

My question is what is the cheapest device I could buy (either new or second hand)to plug into there TV to play DVI's from a hard drive, the options for connectivity are USB or HDMI, something with it's own menu and remote would be great.

Streaming over a network is not an option at the moment.

Thanks for any advice.

PS i'm in the UK if that makes any difference.

:welcome:    Richard Harper,

WD TV Media Player £64.99p from here has the advantage of also being wireless for when you are ready to stream movies across a network.
